The DeFi working group was started in 2021 to look at the DeFi landscape as well as the risks and considerations for regulators and policymakers. In July 2022, the working group published the DeFi Report, looking at the key constituents of the DeFi ecosystem, with a proposal for next steps forward for both industry and agencies in the development of proportionate regulation for DeFi activities.
The working group now meets as required in roundtable discussions to shape wider GDF DeFi programmes, including further regulatory and policy outreach.
