Armin Peter is a seasoned Investment Banking professional with over 25 years of experience in Capital Markets and Banking. As a former GFMA Board member and Chair of the ICMA FinTech Advisory Committee, he has been at the forefront of the sector’s digital transformation. Armin played a crucial role in developing the ICMA Bond Data Taxonomy, which was successfully implemented in the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s multi-currency Digital Green Bond transaction in 2024.
His expertise lies in leveraging technology to drive business transformation and create value across Capital Markets. As the former Global Head of Debt Syndicate and Sustainable Banking EMEA at UBS, Armin led global debt issuance and spearheaded the bank’s DCM Tech Agenda, including Digital Bond issuance and Primary Bond Market infrastructure. He was instrumental in establishing UBS’s Sustainable Finance business and helped developing the bank’s Green Bond Funding Framework.
